Sords Electric offers a wide range of Chromalox and Watlow Industrial Strip Heaters.  We have included many of our most popular strip heaters in our Online Store.

Strip Heaters are the first type of electrical heating element designed. The Strip heater consists of parallel resistant wires within a magnesium oxide sand and terminated wither at each end or at one end. A metal cover is used to shield the elements from the outside. Strip heaters are usually clamped onto the fixture or tank that is to be heated. They are not to be immersed in a liquid.

The most common strip heater design is 1.5 inches wide by lengths up to about 48 inches and with Offset Terminals (OT). The most common voltages are 120 and 240 AC. Please choose the correct voltage as the strip heaters will not perform are required with an incorrect voltage applied. Chromalox manufactures their heaters in rust resisting iron and chrome steel. Watlow manufactures their heaters in aluminized steel. Both can offer stainless steel sheathed strip heaters.
